Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the Once Upon A Home team to explain what we collect and why. It describes our own practices — it is not an independent certification.

Who controls your data

Tailwind Solutions LLC, trading as Once Upon A Home, is the data controller for the personal data described here — we decide what is collected and why. Reach us any time at hello@onceuponahome.app.

What we collect

Your photos and wall data. The images you upload, your wall dimensions, and the layout you build. These are what the product runs on — we process them to perform our contract with you.

Account details. If you sign in, your email address and the sign-in method you used, so we can give you access to your saved walls and purchases.

Purchase records. When you buy a pass, we store the transaction reference, the product bought, and the email attached to it, to honour purchases and meet our legal record-keeping obligations. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.

Technical and usage data. Device and browser information, approximate country, IP address, and error logs. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, working, and improving.

How we use it

To generate your layout and guide, to save and restore your wall across devices, to send you the resume link you asked for, to honour purchases and refunds, and to prevent fraud and abuse. We do not sell your data, and we don't use your photos for anything other than your own wall. Marketing email is only sent if you asked for it, and you can opt out at any time.

Who else is involved

We share personal data with these categories of recipient:

Service providers. Hosting, database, email delivery, and error monitoring providers who process data on our instructions.

Merchant of Record. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles the sale, payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance, and refunds. See Paddle's privacy notice.

Professional advisers and authorities. Legal and accounting advisers, and public authorities where the law requires it.

Frame shopping links point to third-party retailers — once you follow one, that retailer's own privacy policy applies.

Where your data goes

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to keep the same level of protection.

How long we keep it

Saved walls stay on your account until you delete them or ask us to. Photos tied to a refunded purchase are removed when the refund is processed. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Anything no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Keeping it safe

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level database rules so one account can't read another's walls.

Cookies

We use essential storage only: your session, your in-progress wall, and your display preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Clearing your browser storage removes them.

Your rights

You can use Once Upon A Home without an account — design anonymously and nothing is tied to an identity. You also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent where you gave it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're in the UK or EEA and you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
